Rajini's chatty friend in Endhiran

If anything, other than the shoots, is keeping Rajini busy on the sets of Endhiran, it’s Revathy Sankaran. The noted humorist and TV show host is actually keeping the superstar engaged with her wit and humor during the Endhiran shoot breaks. Before we forget, she is playing Rajini’s mother in the Shankar directed animation extravaganza.

Revathy is famous for her humorous speeches and tongue in cheek references during TV shows. She has also had a brief stint in cinema attempting her hand at comedy before making a comeback of sorts with Endhiran.

Kanchivaram on Vijay Tv

Kanchivaram, the film that got rave reviews, will be telecast on Vijay TV at 7pm on July 30th! The film is set in the post-independence era and essays the struggles of a silk weaver. The story of Kanchivaram revolves around a silk weaver Vengadam (Prakash Raj),who dreams of getting his daughter married in a silk saree.

Kanchivaram is directed by Priyadarshan and stars Priyadarshan and Shreya Reddy in the lead roles. M. G. Sreekumar has scored the music for the film.

Commenting on his film, Priyadarshan said, “To date it is my best work and this film is a creative arrogance.”

Anbe Vaa - again as Vijay TV serial

Close on the heels of success of television serials like ‘Idu Oru Kadhal Kadhai’ and ‘Kadhalikka Neram illai’ Vijay TV brings once again another interesting serial based on love aptly called Anbe Vaa from this evening onwards. Anbe Vaa is a story of three friends - Jeeva, Jana and Adi who are on the verge of taking the plunge into the real world and is also experiencing their first bout of love. The love stories of the closely knit friends cross each other and is deftly handled by Venkat Ramanan, the director who has also penned the script and screenplay. Balagurunathan is the cinematographer and Rattan the music composer. Launching from today, the serial will be aired from Monday – Thursday, 8pm on Vijay TV.
