Suriya - Murugadoss plans for next film
The Ghajini-director AR Murugadoss says that the delay in his next project is due the expectation meter running high. With both the versions of Ghajini – Hindi and Tamil – turning out be blockbusters the director’s next project is being watched keenly.

Trisha's Bollywood plans
Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya is the only Tamil project Trisha is working on right now and, as it seems, she has not finalized on any other projects after VTV. However, she has already signed on the dotted line for two Telugu movies with Venkatesh and junior NTR in the leads respectively.
Over and above, Trisha is pinning up her hopes on Khatta Meeta that will mark her grand entry into Bollywood. Directed by her mentor Priyadarshan, she is paired opposite the reigning superstar Akshay Kumar in Khatta Meeta.

Is Ayan goes to Hindi
When there’s scarcity of best scripts in hands, Bollywood producers have no option other than turning for a look on South Indian Films. Recently, ‘Udhayananu Tharam’ remade in Tamil as ‘Vellithirai’ was released as ‘Short Kut – The Con is On’ that didn’t go for a better business in B-Town. By now, deals for the remakes of Tamil films have been signed to nearly a dozen. Amongst them are Pokkiri, Santhosh Subramaniam, June R and more. What’s hitting the town is the remake of ‘Ayan’ and we aren’t sure whether this has been confirmed. Well, if what sources have said are believed to be true, then here goes the fact. After Asin's immense success with Gajini, the stars popularity rose multifold. Now another south Indian star Trisha has ventured into Bollywood with Priyadarshan's Katta Meeta. Initially, Trisha denied the reports, but now with the project finalized she is planning to shift base to Mumbai, it is reported.With Asin and Trisha in Mumbai with their Bollywood dreams, there are rumors that Nayanthara will act with Salman Khan which is planned to be directed by Prabhu Deva.
Prabhu is already directing the Hindi version of Pokkri with Salman in the lead.

Is Murugadoss in Star Fox's Director
Murugadoss shot to limelight with the Suriya starrer Ghajini in Tamil and went on to prove his mettle in Bollywood where he again wielded the megaphone to direct Aamir Khan for the Hindi version of the same film. Ever since then, there has been no looking back for the director. The latest buzz is that AR Murugadoss Productions have entered into an agreement with the Hollywood production house major, Star Fox to produce films in Tamil. Speaking about this latest development, Murugadoss said that though his production house would be producing the films, he would not don the director’s cap for all of it. Murugadoss plans to offer an opportunity to deserving directors, technicians and actors and actress in the new ventures.

Trisha to pull out of Dhanush film
Trisha and Dhanush were signed up to play the lead roles in the film titled Aadukalam. This film was produced by Kathiresan who had produced the Dhanush starrer Polladhavan. Aadukalam’s shooting began as planned as couple of months ago, but for reasons unknown the shooting was stalled. After a mere 3-day shooting, there was no news about this venture.
Meanwhile, with Trisha bagging a prestigious Bollywood flick opposite Akshay Kumar, the lady is said have decided to pull out of Aadukalam. Sources close to Trisha say that the producer of Aadukalam has wasted her call sheet and actress has no dates to offer for this venture in the near future.

Trisha turns glamorous for Bollywood
Director Priyadarshan has signed up Trisha to play the lead role in his forthcoming Bollywood flick. Speaking about her role, Trisha said that she was aware that Bollywood films require heroines to be glamorous and this venture has enough scope for that.The lady had been waiting for a good opportunity to foray in to Bollywood, with a good banner, an ace director and a well-established hero; it is definitely a chance of a lifetime for the actress.
Trisha revealed that she bagged the role only after the hero, Akshay Kumar was confident of her acting skills. Trisha’s first Bollywood assignment!
Trisha had always maintained that she would wait for the right opportunity to enter Bollywood. Perhaps this is the right time for that. A birdie tells us that Trisha has been signed up to star opposite Akshay Kumar in Khatta Meeta. The film will be directed by Priyadarshan.Apparently, Trisha flew down to Bollywood for a discussion and everything turned out fine. Khatta Meeta, which is touted to be a romantic comedy, will have all the elements to satisfy Akshay’s fans, it is said. The film will commence in October and will be completed in a single schedule, we hear. Pritam will compose the music for Khatta Meeta.
It is worth mentioning here that Priyadarshan introduced her in Kollywood with Lesa Lesa.

Bollywood multiplex strike ends
The multiplex strike, which began in the month of February, finally came to an end early this morning (June 5, 2009). This news was confirmed by a fax message by the production house UTV Motion Pictures to the IANS. The message read, “Strike Over. Movies to release next week... Awaiting more details.” Our sources also confirm that the strike has indeed been called off after the producers and the multiplex owners have reached an agreement to share the profits. Official confirmation on the profit sharing details is awaited.With the strike over it is now believed that that films could hit the screens from June 12th onwards
