Sanjay - Vijay's Son dance with Vijay in Vettaikaran


‘Ilayathalapathy’ Vijay will perform a dance together with his cute son Sanjay in title song of Vettaikkaran. Though, the news has been kept secretive in terms of offering sudden surprise to all Vijay’s fans, it has somehow spread across.

Now the latest buzz is that many leading producers and filmmakers have approached Vijay to let his son act in their films based on child subject. Nonetheless, the actor hasn’t been affirmative to their call since he strongly believes that his son must do well with his education and later decide his career.

Meanwhile, the actor is busy shooting a song for ‘Vettaikaran’ across the exotic locales of foreign land. Indeed, he has been bit disappointed with the delayed release of ‘Vettaikaran’ which will not hit the screens on the festive occasion of Diwali.

Shankar's choice is vijay

Vettaikaran’s audio launch took place in Chennai on Wednesday, September 23rd. All the five songs in the film were screened at the function venue that had Vijay’s fans go gaga. The audio was released by director Shankar and KS Ravi Kumar and it was received collectively by all the stars.


Speaking at the function, Ilayathalapthi Vijay said that he was shocked and surprised when he came to know that Sun Pictures had purchased the rights of Vettaikaran. Heaping praises on music director Vijay Anthony, Vijay said all the songs have come out really well, especially Naan Adicha Thangamatta, which he revealed was his son Sanjay’s favorite. The actor said that his son used to dance to the songs so much so that he made him dance for the song in the film.


Director Shankar said that whenever he is out of town shooting, the fans always question him on when Vijay will feature in his film. Shankar disclosed that Rajini was his first choice for Mudhalvan and Vijay next. However, that project finally went to Arjun. The director said that he would work on a script that would suit Vijay soon.

Vijay's action on his facebook issue


Social networking sites have always been giving fans an opportunity to interact with their screen idols. Not only young actors, even veteran actors are fascinated by this technological marvel that most of them have open accounts on Facebook or Twitter and are keeping their fans updated.

Now the latest allegations put up by few popular actors is that impersonators have opened accounts in their names and are misusing their fame for personal gains.

Recently Dhanush made it public that he will lodge a complaint with the cyber crime authorities as his account has been tampered with. Nayanthara also was a victim as her account also was stolen. To join the list is Vijay whose Facebook account has been meddled with. The actor has given an announcement that he will take action against those responsible for this.

Vijay's 50th movie news


Vijay has moved on to his 50th movie Sura rather noiselessly. The first schedule of the S P Rajkumar directed venture will be held in God’s Own Country, Kerala where the cast and the crew are currently stationed. Sura is produced by Sangili Murugan.

Having become the apple of producers’ eyes, Tamanna has also bagged the role opposite Vijay in Sura. Mani Sharma scores for Sura that also has Vadivelu.

Vijay's next movie name either 'Sura or Urimaikural'


Ilayathalapathy Vijay after resent with the Tamilians’ feedback to his political alliance with Congress has dropped those plans as off now. According to actor Vijay, he has confirmed that he has no plans about joining politics and only focus remains ahead with films.

So, after canning his present project ‘Vettaikaran’ on September 15, the actor will commence his next project on September 18 near the shores of Alapuzha Beach, Kerala.

The title of the film produced by Sangli Murugan under Murugan Cine Arts is yet to be decided as there’s a big discussion going on for selecting one amongst ‘Urimai Kural’ and ‘Sura’. According to producer Sangli Murugan he has stated that Vijay’s character name is Sura and he dwells across the slums of coastal region.

Thamannah is the female lead while Vadivelu takes care of comedy tracks…

Vijay's move on politics


Amidst speculation that Vijay is all set to enter politics, the actor hosted a press meet on September 13, 2009 at JS Kalyana Mandapam.

Vijay has made it clear that he has no intention to enter politics and would like to concentrate on films. Though, the actor reiterated that his welfare activities would continue through his fans’ clubs as always.

He further added that he wants to strengthen the Makkal Iyyakkam. Vijay said anyone who works for the welfare of world Tamil population, will definitely get his support and he would even consider joining hands with them in the future.

Speaking about his meeting with Rahul Gandhi the actor said that it was a great opportunity and he would like to thank his fans for this interaction.

Rahul Invites Rajini to politics


The All India Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi said that Rajinikanth is more than welcome to join the party. He said that Congress has devised an open policy to strengthen the party. Anyone who is not a criminal or a religious fanatic could join the Congress he reiterated.

Rahul said that he would be very happy to have Rajini on board as he is a man without any criminal records.

On his meeting with Ilayathalapathi Vijay, Rahul said that the actor wanted to know about the policies devised for strengthening the party and bringing in the youth.

Vijay's quiet on Rahul visit


Looks like Rahul Gandhi’s Tamil Nadu visit has evinced as much interest among politicians as it had on Vijay’s meeting with the Congress General Secretary a while ago in Delhi. Although it was widely speculated that Vijay would join the Congress party, no confirmed news was made available after the meeting.

Rahul is now touring Tamil Nadu and is expected to attend a conference in Coimbatore today addressing his party members. Congress sources aver that Vijay will join the party officially tomorrow in Coimbatore on the occasion. However, no official announcement is available from the Vijay stable as yet in this regard.

Vettaikaran acquired by Sun Pictures

Finally, the deal is on as the biggest titans have joined hands together for a big Diwali Dhamaka for all the buffs. Yeah! The fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay can look out for something special from Vijay as his previous couple of films didn’t witness so much success as anticipated.

It has been officially confirmed that Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaaran’ has been acquired by Sun Pictures. Produced by AVM, the film is directed by debutant Babu Sivan, once an associate of Dharani. The film has Anushka in lead role and Vijay Antony’s musical score is set to emblazon the floors high with fever.

On the pars, Surya’s ‘Aadhavan’ has been publicized vigorously by Kalainyar Television.

So, filmy buffs can expect biggest competition for this season.

Aadhavan's Audio Launch

Sathyam cinemas played host for the audio launch of the Suriya starrer Aadhavan this evening. Gautham Menon, Hari, Dharani, Vijay, Shankar, Suriya, KSR, Sashikumar and Vivek were present at the event. Shankar released the first copy of the audio and Rama Narayanan received it. Subsequently, trailer of the movie was released by producer R B Choudhry and received by Vijay.

Songs Maasi Maasi and Edo Panithuli which was shot in Iceland were screened. The crisply cut trailer was also shown at the event. Producer Udhayanidhi welcomed the guests.

Director Shankar, in his address, mentioned that Suriya is putting up an enhanced performance in his latest movies and that the actor’s looks have also enhanced. On Harris Jeyaraj, he said that Harris just has to learn the mood of the songs and he will come up with brilliant tunes.

Gautham Menon claimed that he knows the efforts of Harris and Suriya after having worked with them for many movies (6 with Harris and 2 with Suriya). “I am also acquainted with cameraman Ganesh’s work who comes up with exceptional shots,” he added.

While addressing the gathering, Vijay mentioned that Udhayanidhi is very liberal about the finances and that he would provide liberty to the directors for a mind-blowing output. He praised Suriya for choosing his roles carefully and showing variety in his movies. He also admitted that he’s very fond of Harris’ music.

Speaking towards the end of the program, Suriya requested the guests to observe silence for 2 minutes to pay homage to Murali who passed away recently. Murali also played a pivotal role in Aadhavan.

In his address, Suriya thanked Udhayanidhi for having given an opportunity to work with KS Ravikumar. He went on to say that working with KSR taught him and Udhayanidhi a lot, starting from doing perfect groundwork for a movie.

Vijay's Appology


Vijay issued an unconditional apology today with regard to the Sivakasi issue that was dragged to the court earlier by a section of lawyers. They alleged that Vijay made disparaging remarks about the profession in his movie and demanded that he apologize for the denigration.

Putting an end to the dispute that went for months, Vijay today apologized in a letter through his lawyer. He mentioned that he had no intention to hurt the sentiments of the professional lawyers and that he infact had portrayed a lawyer’s role in his movie Tamizhan. Besides, the letter also stated that the scenes deemed contentious by the lawyers were removed from the movie while it was still playing in theaters.

Gautham's speech about vijay

Latest update on Vijay's political


In an explicit gesture to demonstrate his interest in a political career, Vijay stated that if fans willed, his fan club would transform into a political party. Vijay was addressing a gathering in Pudukottai at an event organized by his fan association, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. He also inaugurated a computer training center and some welfare schemes at the event.

He requested his fans to strengthen the fan club membership to one lakh in each district which will pave way to the transformation of the association into a political party. “Only you can make it happen,” he added. The event was attended by his father S. A. Chandrasekhar and other fan club members of the area.

Application forms for the association membership were also distributed.

Vijay's behavior with fans

Vijay, who is stationed in Pollachi, for his latest flick Vettaikaran had a harrowing experience when his frenzied fans mobbed him to create a near-stampede situation. The fans, after knowing the star’s whereabouts in Pollachi for the shoots, visited the spot to catch a glimpse of him and for autographs.

Vijay was immediately frisked off from the area and his security personnel cordoned off the location to avoid a stampede. However, the situation remained tense for a few hours since the angry fans indulged in verbal slur with Vijay’s security personnel.

Vettaikaran's shooting spots

Pollachi in Tamil Nadu, which has the distinction of appearing in many of the Tamil films, is in the news once again. Ilayathalapathy Vijay and his team is stationed there to can a few sequences for Vettaikaran being produced by AVM Balasubramanian and directed by Babu Sivan. A few days ago, still pictures of Vijay and ‘Arundathi’ Anoushka from the film were flashed in the media which received a good response. This is the first time that Vijay is teaming up with Anoushka and the pair looked very impressive.

Nakka Mukka Vijay Antony is scoring a peppy music which is sure to bring out the dancing skills of Vijay to the fore. Meanwhile, viewers may recall that Sanjay, Vijay’s son has done a superb dance show in Vijay’s intro piece in the film which is considered to be the highlight of the film.

Sundar C's Aindam Padai

Director turned actor Sundar C is busy churning out movies after movies. His next film Aindam Padai will hit the screens on the 24th July. This film is by his home production, Avni Cine Max, and directed by Badri. As is the usual norm in most of his films, a new heroine Adithi Chaudhery is being introduced as Sundar’s love interest. Along with the lead cast, Nasser and Vivek are also said to play pivotal roles in the film.

It has been reported that there are a few scenes from Vijay’s Kuruvi in Aindam Padai. Viewers may recall that in Sundar’s earlier venture Veeraapu, there were a few scenes from Pokkiri. When probed, a unit hand revealed that these scenes are added in the film as they are proving lucky for Sundar and it is only for sentiment purpose and nothing else. More over Kushbu and Sundar’s daughters are big fans of Vijay which further justifies these scenes. Aindam Padai is being scored by Iman.

Siddique and Vijay again

Director Siddique of Friends and Engal Anna fame said that he initially narrated the story of the Malayalam film Bodyguard, which he is directing now, to Ilayathalapathy Vijay. However, due to his prior commitment with the Mollywood star Dileep, he started the Malayalam version. The director also said that Vijay is keen on starring in the Tamil remake but his dates are not available in the near future and hence the project has been put in the backburner for now.

Siddique was quick enough to add that he would start the Tamil version once Vijay gives his go ahead. It is worth mentioning here that Bodyguard has Nayanthara as the female protagonist.

Vijay's case on court

Several advocate across the state have filed petitions against Vijay, director Perarasu, producer AM Rathnam and actor Bhaskar for the slanderous statement made about the lawyers in their film Sivakasi. Following this, the magistrates of several courts issued summons to all those concerned. Some courts also issued warrants against the defendants.

Vijay, Perarasu, AM Rathnam and Bhaskar had filed a petition in the High Court of Madras pleading that the case does not fall under the purview of Criminal Procedure Code. The petitioners also alleged that the magistrate courts did not issue summons to them before the warrants.

The High Court stayed all proceedings in the magistrate courts pertaining to this case and ordered the Bar Council, the Women Lawyers’ Association and High Court Advocates Association for a counter. The case is expected to be disposed on July 3rd.

Who is Vijay’s 50th film director?

Here is the latest update on the talk of the town – Vijay’s 50th film. Though Vijay is still busy with his Vettaikaran, his fans are keen to know more about this next venture, which is his landmark film.

Vijay had mentioned in a recent press conference that Sangili Murugan will produce the venture. But there was no news about the director. Vijay and Sangili Murugan are discussing various options available to them and two names that are constantly coming up for consideration are KV Anand and SP Rajkumar.

SP Rajkumar has Ponmanam to his credit and is currently busy with Azhagar Malai. The buzz in Kollywood is that he could pen the story for Vijay’s film and direct it as well. Tammanna is touted to play the female lead. Sources say the film could be titled Urimai Kural.
