Nayanthara's New movie


Nayanthara, in all probability, will star in Electra, a Malayalam film. Talks are on with Arya to play Nayan’s pair in the film. With the actress desperately needing a success to sustain in the race among the leading actresses in the southern circuit, this film could just do the trick. Apparently, Electra is inspired from a Greek play and is heroine oriented.

Sources say that Nayan is keen on working in this project and is reshuffling her dates to accommodate the film. Electra will be directed by Shyama Prasad and produced by Vindhyan.

Ananya replaced in Arya's Production

Arya’s production house The Show People forayed into the business with Padi Thurai. Debutante Abishek and Ananya had been roped in to play the lead roles. However, the latest buzz is that Ananya is now replaced by newbie Shanthini. Sources say that Ananya’s non availability during the first day of the shoot resulted in her ouster.

Padi Thurai is directed by Bala’s assistant Suresh Kannan. Ilayaraja will score the music for the lyrics penned by Nanjil Nadan, S Ramakrishnan and Jayamohan.

Arya's Business plans

That Arya owns a production company, The Show People, is old news now. After announcing the maiden project under his banner, a movie directed by Suha who assisted Bala in most of his movies, Arya is on the verge of announcing another venture. This one will be directed by Neerav Shah, who received rave reviews for his work as the cinematographer of Arya’s Sarvam.

Suha’s movie is titled Padithurai and stars Abhishek and Ananya. Neerav Shah’s untitled movie will have Arya’s brother Sathya in the lead who is also playing the lead in Kadhal 2 Kalyanam.

Aarya - King of South Indian Cinema

Actor Aarya has got a specialty in town now. Know what? He happens to be the only actor who has got whole lot of offers from various regional film industries at the moment. Earlier, it was just actresses who used to hop-skip from one end to the other, but things are turning towards actors now. Aarya is busy now shooting for ‘Madrasapattinam’ and ‘Chikku Bukku’, he has signed deal for a big budget Malayalam film ‘Casanova’ starring alongside Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal.

As well he does the negative role in Allu Arjun’s next Telugu film. Meanwhile Vikram and Surya are already on the roll in Bollywood and Trisha has followed Asin in Bollywood with Priyadarshan’s film.

Arya’s Kusthi

Director Vijay says that Madaraspatinam is not a film about freedom struggle. He clarified this recently as there were reports that Madaraspatinam could be film Indian Independence struggle. It may be recalled that this is a period film based in 1940s.

The director said that this is romantic flick and is totally different from his earlier ventures Kireedom and Poi Solla Porom. Vijay said that Arya has done a great work in the film and has also learnt the traditional “Kusthi” fight.

A set, worth Rs. 70 lakhs, has been constructed in Kelambakkam to depict the Chennai of the 1940s. The director added that people of that generation will definitely turn nostalgic and appreciate the effort.
