Sasi Kumar is my inspiration to don the greasepaint, says Ameer. This director-turned-actor says that facing the camera was never his intention, even when he found fans swarming the film stars and vying for their attention and autographs.

However, all this changed when Sasi Kumar entered the film industry as a director and later on as an actor. Ameer recalls that Sasi Kumar’s victory in Kollywood and his fame has inspired him to a great extent, so much so that he agreed to star in the Subramania Siva-directed venture Yogi. The actor-director-producer proudly says that he never planned anything in life but things have been rosy for him till now.

Nadodigal goes to Telugu

Nadodigal, which has turned out to be a hit, is all set to be remade in Telugu. While there were reports that the film will be remade in Hindi, the Telugu version will commence first, sources say.

Samudrakani will wield the megaphone for the Telugu version too; however, there would be a change in the star cast. Abinaya, the speech and hearing impaired girl, will play the same role as in the original version.

Talks are on with Ravi Teja, Lawrence, Naresh and Navdeep to play the important roles in the film. The movie will be produced by Bellakonda Suresh. Samudrakani and Sasikumar will also don the greasepaint for an important character that has not been revealed yet. Sundar C Babu will score the music for the film. The shooting is slated to begin during the month of August.

Nadodigal release date on...

Director Samudrakani is confident that Sasi Kumar would emerge a big star after the release of Nadodigal. The film is all set to be released in June 26th. The director said that Nadodigal is about four friends. According to the director, the film has all the aspects that movie-goers expect - romance, action and sentiment. Samudrakani added that the climax of the film will be unique.

Ananya is the female lead in Nadodigal and a newbie, Abinaya plays an important role in the film. Abinaya, who has speaking and hearing disabilities, has done justice to her role, the director said.
