G V Prakash who scores music for Madrasapattinam has already stated that he has handled the music uniquely for this film. It is a known fact that Madrasapattinam is a period film set in the year 1940 with Arya in the lead and directed by Vijay.

G V Prakash who was looking for a perfect voice to blend with the historic music of the film has zeroed in on Dhanush to do the opening song. Dhanush will sing with the music legend of yesteryear M S Viswanathan. The Dhanush effect will definitely be a factor for the musical success of the film, hopes Prakash.
